FAQ - Most frequently asked questions

Q: When should I arrange my flights and which airport do I fly to?

A: For flights you will want to fly into Vancouver International Airport and we will handle the transfer to Whistler. Please try to arrive between 10am and 4pm on the Saturday and depart after 11am on the last day of your program.

Q: How do I get to and from the airport?

A: Before you depart for you trip you will receive you booking information along with a confirmation number for Perimeter Express. They are a direct transport carrier from Vancouver International airport to Whistler. The bus departs from right outside the arrivals lounge and will drop you off at the Legends Hotel in Whistler where we will be waiting to take you to your accommodations for your stay. Transfers to Whistler are included in camp and course pricing. The return trip is your obligation however we are more than happy to assist you with an upgrade for your return.

Q: What ages and abilities do you take?

A: Pro Ride Bike Camps are for adults with the youngest age being 17. The average camper is in their early to mid twenties through to early thirties. We have worked with campers as young as 14 and as old as 55. We train campers who are younger than 17 during the summer time at our Glacier Camp. For summer camp we accept 11 year olds and older.

Our training program caters for novice to advanced riders. Someone who can maintain balance while breaking and turning on slightly uneven terrain is our minimum ability level. If you think that you don't quite meet this criteria please email us to talk about you options. We have the ability cater for everybody whether it be through our camps or through a custom designed program.

A: 24 hour assistance is provided. Campers are supervised at all times on the mountain and during activities. The youngest campers who we accept during the summer are mature 17 year olds as the accommodation is twin share and is not fully supervised. Campers are responsible for their own food shopping and preparation as well as keeping themselves entertained during the evenings and weekends.

As we are an adult training facility we only accept campers into our program who are in Whistler to take their riding to a higher level. We expect a high level of maturity from our younger campers.

For the older riders we have have plenty of activities to keep you motivated, fit and having a great time. During the winter months the average age of our campers is from the early twenties to the mid thirties. It is not uncommon to have a few young at heart riders in their early 50's drop in for camps and clinics. Couple are welcome.
